Ian Spencer Bell is from Middleburg, Virginia. He graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts and spent his summers studying at the School of American Ballet. Mr. Bell also trained and performed with Pacific Northwest Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet. In 2001 he was awarded a grant from the Virginia Comission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts for his choreography. His work has been shown at the National Arts Club, the 92nd Street Y, Triskelion Arts and the former Williamsburg Arts Nexus. For New Chamber Ballet he has choreographed Three Ghost Rags.
